The Islamic Republic of Iran has launched a wave of drone and ballistic missile attacks across the Gulf region in what it says is retaliation for joint military operations by the United States and Israel against Iranian targets earlier today.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard claimed it struck U.S. and Israeli assets across the Middle East and said operations will continue until it has “defeated the enemy.”

Dubai International Airport (DXB) — the world’s busiest international aviation hub — along with Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) have suspended all flight operations indefinitely after Iranian missile and drone attacks reached UAE airspace.
Authorities strongly advise passengers not to travel to the airports and to contact their airlines for updates.
🌀 Why Airports Were Forced to Close
The UAE’s air defence forces intercepted multiple Iranian missiles, but falling debris affected parts of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, prompting the suspension of flight activities as a safety precaution.
⚠️ Casualties & Damage
At least one civilian fatality has been reported in the UAE from debris falling from intercepted missiles.
Fires and explosions have been documented in central Dubai areas, including near high-profile buildings and hotels, as air defences engaged incoming weapons.

Airlines from around the world — including Emirates, flydubai, Etihad, British Airways, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways and others — have cancelled or suspended flights to and from Gulf hubs due to airspace closures and security risks.
Major airspaces across the Middle East — including Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan and the UAE — are closed until further notice.
This has caused global aviation disruptions, with thousands of passengers stranded and flights rerouted across long alternative paths, significantly impacting international travel and cargo logistics.
